Yuta Kobayashi is a Japanese Conductor.

He was invited to the final rounds of the 58th International Besançon Competition for Young Conductors and the 20th Tokyo International Conducting Competition.

Since the beginning of the 2022-2023 season, He has been the Associate Conductor at the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.

He gained further experience at the Yomiuri Nippon Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, in the 2021-2022 season as Assistant Conductor of the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra and the Kyoto Junior Orchestra (belonging to the City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra).

He has conducted orchestras such as Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Yokohama Sinfonietta, Orchestre Victor Hugo, and The Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo.

He performed at the 21st Music Festival Argerich (Beppu — Japan) in 2019 as an orchestra pianist.

Born in Niigata, Japan, Yuta Kobayashi learned piano, percussion, and viola in early childhood. He won the 1st prize at the 3rd wind and percussion competition in Niigata.

He studied conducting at the Tokyo College of Music as a scholarship student and he was taught by professor Junichi Hirokami. He then studied with professors Tatsuya Shimono, Ryusuke Numajiri, and Kazuki Yamada. He participated in conducting master classes with Boris Belkin, Tsugio Tokunaga, and Yasuhiko Shiozawa.
